Default Lifting on the road OR list of gyms with platforms

I travel a bit, and when I'm on the road, I'd love to have a list of places where I can grab some time at a gym that is set up for oly lifting.

I've done some searching, but haven't been able to find such a list anywhere.

Does anyone know of something like that? Or, put another way, for folks who travel, what do you do to keep the lifting going?

Arien I travel all the time and finding a good place to O/Lift is challenging. The USAW website has some links to gyms. Another good place is the Crossfit affiliates listing on the main page. It isn't sorted to good but a quick scan usually lets you know if there is a place.

The second technique I use is if I can't find a gym with bumpers I scale the weight back and do higher reps. Some times I will use one of the days from a strength cycle that has a lot of assistance exercises.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Derek. Is the USAW link the club and college directory? Or is there another link out there (USAW isn't the best organized site).

The USAW club and college directory reminds me of all the idle college gyms out there. Hmmm.

(Posted from the road, after a short night, after a long and many times delayed set of flights).

Go to the affilliates' page, they're listed by state.

This is awesome. I travel a lot with work and play. Never want to lift when I play, but dreaming of finding a place like a training home (multiple platforms). Going to Atlanta this weekend and I'm hoping my misses will let me find the beefcake.

All the best,
Arden

Funny story. Got roped into do a print ad for a carpet company that markets to "professionals." The type of carpet is called "Alter Ego." Given that there's not many lumberjack lawyers.......I was a some sort of fit. Little do they know I'm wicked ugly.

So it's sorry lumberjackish as i'm doing a chopping demo for their website on Saturday.

All the best,
Arden
