Incidentally is it better for beginners to do timed sets or should we stick to counting reps? The reason I'm asking is because I've tried doing timed sets switching hands every minute but I always seem to do more reps per minute with my right arm than with my left and I'm worried that I'll develop a strength imbalance unless I go back to just counting reps.
