Default New Question for Dr. G

John Velandra reccommended you- I have vitiligo and latent celiac- trying gluten free. question- does the inert part of a generic birth control pill contain modified food starch? it seems to be in vitamins quite a bit. I wonder what would be a good substitute.
also- I got a comprehensive metabolic panel, and my rx didn't think anything was wrong, but there were a few elevated stats-ALT/SGPT was 52 and my glucose was 101. My muscles take 4 or 5 days to recover after a strain (yoga class, squatting with weights), and then there's this protien. Does it mean anything? my rx obviously didn't think so, but I'm beginning to wonder about him...
any thoughts you have would be helpful-thanks!

Cathy, we should take this offline.

You'd have to ask the manufacturer if that "modified food starch" is gluten free.

Your glucose is high (if you were fasting) and elevated liver enzymes can mean that other things are going on.

Without a more detailed history, which I don't want to ask you about online, I can't (and won't) do much more at this point. I hope you understand.
