I've been keeping up with this since I heard he first earned a spot. Incredibly sad, and of course there's many angry people out there. Not much anyone can do about it now, but still, terrible.

That's a crappy deal. And that's the sorry thing about competing in a sport with playground rules that change from one minute to the next. It's hard to work your ass off and stay focused when you don't know what you're working for.
