Just thought I'd pass this along for discussion. I typically scoff at heart monitors considering everytime I've used one I've gone way over my supposed max heart rate. However, I could see using one if it was just to measure bio-feedback. What I really liked was the idea of reevaluating training every 24 hours instead of just following a periodized training schedule. Granted the actual training would have to match your chosen event, but I think training according to body response is a step in the right direction.
That was a pretty interesting article I'm curious to see what will come out of it in the future and how these tools will evolve.
