Doing a Lumberjack met-con workout tomorrow at Xfit WV's open house :-D
Not sure what to call this little workout - but I'm leaning toward "Paul Bunyon" since King Kong is well established.
1. It will be cutting a 13" white pine underhand in the following fashion:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA9hKrM8xFU
2. Followed by conventional deadlift 405 for 10 reps;
3. Followed by Long Cycle Clean and jerk with a 40 or 48kg kettlebell for 10 reps
Eventually, I'd like to do two rounds of this, but my conditioning sucks right now, so I'll likely only do it once tomorrow.
Thoughts? Nuts? Should see Buddha for sure.
All the best,
Arden

Awesome.
I'll youtube this monstrousity for everyone's enjoyment. I'm more worried about the LCCJ. Like bouncing the bell off my head or something?
Paul Bunyon sound okay? Or Babe, the Blue Ox?
I have a feeling i'm gonna be blue at the end of this one.
All the best,
Arden

I haven't gotten past the one round thingy yet. Maybe when I get a bit fitter or a bit smarter.

No trees in this lot, but eventually we're going to get a bunch of strongman stuff (tires, logs, stones, etc) on the lot outside.
I've thrown around way too many logs this week as part of my GPP, I don't even wanna think about.
Babe the blue ox is sounding good.
All the best,
Arden
