Your top 5 supplements
The ZMA thread got me thinking:
If a nutrition store told you could get ANY 5 supplements for FREE (assuming that they were all equally priced so you wouldnt just get the most expensive ones), What would they be? Whey Protein does not count in this contest...Why? Because I started it and I make the rules!
I guess mine would be:
- ZMA
- Digestive Enzymes
- Probiotics
- L-Glutamine/Aminos
- Fish Oil

Yep. Perfect Mike.
I have some ZMA on order as of a few days ago but I am taking all of those plus some creatine. I take BCAA's prior to working out, L-Glut if I run out of the BCAA's and Vice Versa.
Jeez-- Staying fit or (trying to be fit I should say )is expensive but worth it!

Oddly mine would be something like this:
Fish Oil
ZMA
Probiotics
Glutamine/Chondroitin
Creatine

Just started the digestive enzymes on Tuesday and already loving the improved digestion.

It's definitely got the mother. I have to shake it up for a good minute each morning to get the sediment off the bottom.
4 days a week, I eat 2 meals a day. On those days, I try to do 1 Tbsp in water 15 min before and 1 hour after each meal (when I don't have to be somewhere an hour after eating).
The other 3 days I only eat one meal, and will have 1 Tbsp in place of my missing meal (which is early in the AM), in addition to on each side of the meal as above.
Anytime hydration is suffering, I will have some as well. The stuff is AWESOME for being well hydrated, and cheap to boot. It is actually dropping my overall water consumption (I assume because it is hydrating me more efficiently) by 2-3 gallons a week. It really seems like it helps my GI tract out when my diet goes south (such as over Christmas) as well.

Apple Cider Vinegar? Hmmm. Never tried it. Anyone else use it besides Chris? Where do you buy it Chris? Taste horrible?
Damn it Mike! I knew this post would cost me more money!

$3 for a 20oz bottle...I think you will be able to find enough pocket change in the park during bootcamps for this one.
Find it at any local health food store. You want the "Raw Unfiltered with the Mother", organic is a bonus too....but no other kind will do.
Good luck getting it down.....it's rough. Oh yeah, don't take it straight (you make that mistake once). I usually say 1 tbsp in 8oz of water. If you are brave and don't get sick on more, you may be able to build up to it. But....good luck.
