Default Gym Boss Sucks-Need Better Timer

I've had 2 Gym Boss's and both have broken on me. I was worried about this when i first got it. It felt like i could crush it in a single hand.

anyways i need a better one. the 3 problems with the gym boss were this

1. durability (obviously since they both broke)
2. volume (when you're outside or in a gym with a fan, this is a bitch. i had to keep picking up the gym boss if i was running between diff. stations and very carefully place it on the ground so that it wouldn't break. if i could hear it from a distance, this wouldn't be a problem. it's also hard to focus on being gentle with the timer when you're running around a lot)
3. stopwatch - you can just set the thing for a time longer than you think the workout will take and then just subtract the remaining time from the original time to find how long it took you, but a regular stopwatch feature would be nice

does anybody have any suggestions? i'd love to use a boxing timer, but that might be ridiculous in my college's weight room. i guess i already appear ridiculous as it is though... walking around in vibram five fingers all the time and walking everywhere on my hands.... why can't i be a normal kid and just bench...WHY?!?!

I've recommended this one a dozen thousand trillion times, and I'll do it once more, it's that good. http://patrickhdonnelly.blogspot.com...-w93h-1av.html

Another vote for this one. There are many different models and the model I currently have has a stopwatch, a timer and and interval timer.

I have some version of the Timex also. The only problem I have is doing KB intervals you can't wear it. Just doesn't work well to have the bell crashing around on to it. But I just take it off and put it next to me.

Yeah, I didn't even think about this, typically I'll just lay it somewhere close to me, at home I'll put it on the counter, at the gym I'll leave it on the KB rack (since no one uses them) so that it's easily visible.

+1 to the Timex Ironman watch suggestion.

I like the Timex OVA Ironman version (look to EBay).

After a factory replacement of my first OVA (wrist strap cracked), I now have two of these bad boys--one for wearing, one that works simply as a timer.

I also have an Everlast "boxing" timer, I hardly ever use that.
