This Forum
I have to say I think this forum is great. I very rarely post on internet forums as normally they are full of people spouting rubbish, inflating performances, bolstering their egos and generally acting like obnoxious kids. I just don't have the patience for people who communicate with me in a way I guarantee they would not in the real world. This isn't a complaint about the "state of the internet", it's just something I choose not to participate in.
This forum is civil, full of good information and when people disagree it doesn't seem to turn into a personal issue or slanging match.
So thanks.
Brown nosing finishes at this point.

This is the reason I love to post on assorted forums.
In fact, the closer my posting style gets to the above description, the happier and more fun I'm having online.

Couldn't agree with you more rubbish I spout the better I feel about myself and my poor self image

This is obviously one of the reasons we're such a smashing combo for this forum, Pierre!

We can put the civility on hold for the weekend. Shaf will feel more comfortable and Pierre will confuse the crap out of us.
Welcome aboard Josh! We bowed out of all the respectable forums...best we could do was this.

Yeah, that's all well and good, but this place still has those idiots who will drag a forum off topic by posting some "funny" comment or pearl of wisdom they feel everyone should know, even though everyone already knows it.
. . .looks in mirror. . .
Uh. . .
Seriously, I like the latitude Wolfy gives us and no one chides us for getting a little off course. I also read other forums for entertainment purposes only.

I've found that the best kind of moderation is a mostly hands-off style.

I agree regarding the quality of information and general friendly, laid back vibe of this forum. I would like to request topic sections devoted exclusively to porn and gambling though. This is the internet after all.

I didn't bother creating the specific gambling, substance abuse, pornography, et al sections because I knew their discussion would naturally arise within completely unrelated topics. As long as the topic is discussed well and questions are answered, I don't care too much what superfluous material accompanies. Of course, I will immediately delete any thread that makes fun of my haircut.
