I made a sandbag using an old duffel I found in a local surplus. It's pretty simple, anyone with a few hours to spare can make one. I made 5kg sandbags, using two thick (not sure, few mil I guess) bags zip-tied and then gaffer taped up, to allow me to adjust the weight up to about 55kg. I would say that for people of average strength, this is about the lowest you'd want to go, but if you have training partners or clients that aren't that strong, it's ideal as you can easily adjust the weight.
