Anyone know of the best place to purchase some rather heavy Kettlebells?

Any place local so you don't have to pay shipping. I know KBs are more "mainstream" in sports places now...but i'm sure they are not that heavy. May want to call around local fitness equipment shops and try Play it Again (last I heard long ago they were going to carry their own line....no idea if that every came about).

the best quality/price in my opinion is the us kettlebells from cfsd very similiar to DD kb's but much less expensive.

I bought some from Play it again in Mountain View. 1.60 a pound. Not the best kettlebells (apollo's) but for the money totally worth it.
