That's correct....
Nothing new or exciting... just physiology.

Good to know. I knew GH had a role in fat loss, but I didn't know it played the primary role and insulin played the secondary role.

GH does not peak in a high insulin environment. Glucagon also plays a role in releasing fat, which is directly inversely related to insulin. In the end....hormones just signal the fat stores to "empty the tanks"....you still have to burn the free fatty acids (FFAs) while in calorie deficit.

Yeah, I already know about that, but what if you ate right before going to bed, when your GH spikes? Would that slow down your fat loss, even if you are at a caloric deficit?

Not ideal to eat a large carb meal right before bed....as you want optimal GH release. Other than that GH is released all day long in spikes.

what about 50-70g of veggies or other carb source before bed? or as a last meal of the day. Ive read that it is beneficial for weight loss. Eat your fat and protein during the day and eat all your carbs in one serving at the end of the day. Why and why not will that be beneficial do u think?

No. The largest spike in GH is pretty close after going to sleep.. within an hour or two. If you spike your carbs up like that you'll blunt the effect because insulin is higher than normal which leads to the smaller GH peaks.
Eat balanced meals during the day. Don't "save" up anything for the end, heh.

what's the time frame for these spikes? would naps long enough to hit a high GH zone be optimal?

Uhhh, I mean naps are good. Not sure about naps though for GH.
The largest spike after you go to sleep comes approximately 1 hour or so after falling asleep.
