Form Police
Great post from Ross's blog re: the form police and Kroc Rows. As always, Ross brings a proper STFU and lift perspective.
http://rosstraining.com/blog/2009/03...e-form-police/
For those unfamiliar, ( http://www.youtube.com/user/kroc001) Matt Kroczaleski is a powerlifter, beastly strong, who says that he get's a huge carryover to his DL doing heavy heavy high rep dumbell rows. In the Ross article he's doing DB rows for 7 reps with a weight that many many internet jocks can't DL for 5.
and yes, to get this out of the way, Matt competes in a Non tested Federation.

Ross does tend to be a voice of reason in a sea of empty sacks...

That second video in his blog post was really good.
My added external rotation work over the weeks I took off from OL would have been the biggest change that likely led to my recent PR...like Kroc noticed with his signature rows.
Good stuff.

Yeah, the Q an A from that seminar is on Youtube and it's pretty good, basic stuff about tracking progress and doing what works for you, not someone else.

Nice post. Ross rocks.
I wonder how that dude made that dumbbell (he did make that right)? Insane strength.

To hell with Matt's crappy form. Just think how much better he could do on the Zone.
