One thing everyone is forgetting to mention is that vegetarianism may be the only way for sustained life of humans....in like 500 years or so :P Especially with technology like stackable farms, etc.

Unless genetic modification and cloning take off for food production purposes, we will all have to go the way of the vegan in the distant future, imho. Einstein, imho, was focusing on this aspect....even though, as I said, things like stackable farms and genetically engineered plants didn't exist in his lifetime
On second thought....maybe I am all for more people going vegetarian.....leaves more meat for me in the long run.

Maybe we should seriously consider starting a vegetarian movement, then. I can easily eat 2-3# of meat a day + milk and cheese. If I keep up at this pace and encourage people to eat meat then I am signing my own death warrant.

Admittedly I know very little about this, but most of the industrial farming practices that are going on now are very unsustainable. There is no crop rotation, the land is never fallow, etc. It kind of like raping the soil.

If we are looking towards the future, i think we need to learn respect before we start talking about vegetarian this and sustainable that. Respect for our food growers, respect for the land, and respect for our bodies and what we put into it.

And yeah, there are a few people who call me bacon. I also get corny alot, although neither one as much as i used to.
