Weighed in at 72.9 kg.
Man, my snatch warmups stunk! Fell flat on my ass with 60kg twice. Barely made 65. Was going to open with 75, but coach dropped me down to 70.
For clean and jerk warmups, wrist/hand started affecting things around 80kg. Dropped from 90kg opener to 85kg.
70kg make (barely, almost ran off the platform).
75 make. Felt better than the 70.
78 make (competition PR).
93kg make (C&J PR, more importantly Jerk PR).
97kg make (C&J PR).
My 20-year-old teammate whom I edged at qualifiers edged me this time by 3kg. He C&J'd 103. Oh well. The Toll House chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich I ate afterwards turned my frown upside down (it doesn't take much to cheer me up). And I'm happy for him as he's been working his ass off these days.
