Default Fish Oil and Red Yeast Rice

Some research I was looking for. Does anyone have much experience with Red Yeast Rice? I've got pretty high cholesterol and I am supposed to be going in to get reevaluated in July. In addition to diet, exercise, some weight loss I'd like to start these supplements to see their effect.

I don't know anything about red rice supplements but I do know that there's a considerable body of evidence suggesting that oats and buckwheat can lower cholesterol levels.

Oats and buckwheat intakes and cardiovascular disease risk factors in an ethnic minority of China.
