I've been reading today about low Hydrochloric Acid in the stomach leading to poor nutrient absorption (ie,
http://www.charlespoliquin.com/Healt...oric-acid.php). I tend to be skeptical about things that tell me I need to buy more supplements, so I was wondering if anyone knew of an effective way (short of going to my doctor - Kaiser is too much trouble) to test one's own HCl levels?
The link I post has a test that involves buying a supplement (

), and then a few other vague things like poking around under my ribcage (nothing hurts) and examining the ridges on my fingernails (I have them). I was hoping for something a little more definitive and simple, or for someone to tell me this is a load of BS.
