I have girly grip strength, and sadly, no belly to rest the continental on. I go for a Sumo Deadlift to Zercher, a couple pops from my hip to get it from the crook of my elbows up the the shoulders. Talk about taking the long way.
But, does look like the continental is the ticket here. The fact that the bar doesn't spin makes squat cleans difficult, and I can't begin to understand how you can keep a grip on an axle that heavy. I mean shit, he double overhanded it in the first video.

Have you tried a mixed grip clean? You'll get one half the bar on your shoulder and the other side in your elbow. That might help cut down the amount of negotiation you have to do with the bar.

I've tried the mix grip clean - don't have the technique down yet. My best clean is 265, best I've managed mixed grip is 200 or 205. I'll keep workin on it.
