Default The Running Press!

I learned a new GPP exercise today while working out at CrossFit North, the running press! The movement mimics those VersaClimber machinesl. Basically you press one dumbell overhead while driving the opposite knee up, and then hop to drive the other knee up and press the other arm. You look like a cheerleader while you're doing it, and it gets hard fast. I couldn't find a description of it anywhere on the net, so my written description will have to suffice.

Yeah, Craig, that one was fun. I liked Dave's other name for it "Bad Ass Cheerleader" or something like that. What an image ... cheerleaders with pom-poms of steel....

All the fun of a versa climber, none of the gear. Sounds great!

Default Variation

I'm thinking that you could do a variation with two bands hung over a chin up bar. Pull down band, raise opposite knee. I've not tried it so it might be rubbish!
