Weight Plate Size

Hi this is my first time posting on this forum. I'm looking to build a drag sled. Are all weight plates the same diameter. Like a 45. Do all of them have a 2" inside diameter and a 18" outside diameter?

I can tell you that they are not exactly the same. I bought some plates from a used fitness warehouse nearby and have 2 pairs of 45s that are slightly different diameters. I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't stack them on top of each other. The plates are not all the exact same but they all will be within a quarter inch of each other.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to design my sled with a 20" diameter plate in mind. That shoulder be enough room.
