Hi there all members,
I think that 4 hours are much better time in between the second meal because you should give time to digest the first meal to your stomach....

Its a myth that your metabolism slows down after 5 hours in fact in the fasted state your metabolism from a calorie burning point of view speeds up do to a release of catecholamines. It takes a matter of days for the metabolic slow down to occur but other things happen physiologically once liver glycogen is depleted (some where around 16 hours but depends on activity) that is detrimental to lean body mass. Also keep in mind that protein depending on the type is digested quite slowly.

Doesn't exercise effect your metabolism a lot more than nutrition ?

Obviously you can't out-train a terrible diet. Weight training though effects your overall metabolism for the following 3-4 hours after training?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the more active you are, the faster your metabolism is going to go.

FWI I eat 7-8 meals a day. 0-25g of carbs a day, 6 days a week.

Eating time does not have directly effect on fat loss. You fix your eating time and take foods on these specific times. It help to bear hunger and come over fat and reduce weight level easily.

In my opinion Eating more frequently has not been shown to boost metabolism. I personally feel that while on the Zone diet, eating frequently helps to avoid being hungry at certain times of the day.
