I think it's a shame that good people are caught up in this. This whole situation, including the years of buildup, smacks of poor leadership at crossfit.
It seems to me that the company grew, in part, from traffic at the main site. Today's newbies at the site are tomorrow's seminar attendees and affiliates. How can the leadership of the company allow for the continued "shenanigans" over there (Hey Farva what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy s**t on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?)
They can't ask the consumer to look the other way or ignore the incredible moderation of material and information. And to allow for the porn site referrals? Without some type of statement, it appears to me that it's allowed or condoned.
This is a "bull by the horns" problem for the company, but no one appears to be capable of grabbing it and taking charge. Some type of official statement would be a good start; one that isn't buried in the comments on the affiliate blog and one given by someone who has some intestinal fortitude. How about addressing Castro's actions and the apparent vindictive actions since then? I still can't believe the only statement from management was delivered in such a cowardly manner and was used as a vehicle to insult Robb's credibility.
I am just blown away by the entire situation, which may say something bad about me. But I am the consumer so I suppose I am entitled to an opinion.
