Dynamical adaptation stimuli
Karin Albrecht, author of Stretching. Das Expertenhandbuch (Stretching. The expert handbook) propagates the following stretching technique:
Once in the starting position of a light stretch, apply a dynamical adaptation stimulus, that is four to five controlled dynamical stretches or pulses (to illustrate the principle, if 100 represents the actual stretch these pulses range from say 95-101. The difference to a simple rocking action is the precision and that you use the antagonist of the stretched muscle for the movement), then concentrate on the muscle you want to stretch, inhale deep and on a long slow and conscious exhalation go into a deeper stretch. After a certain time span, say 30 seconds, repeat the dynamcial adaptation stimulus but this time leave it there, don't go deeper into the stretch.
