Default Finding a gym (or BB Club) in Cleveland

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I'll give it a go.

I currently live in Utah, and have joined a weightlifting club here. I started about a year and a half ago, and really love it. I'm probably going to be moving back to Cleveland in the fall and was wondering if anyone knows of any barbell clubs or weightlifting clubs there. I've checked the USAW website, which shows a number in the area, though none of them really have an online presence. Even if I could find a gym to lift at that has bumpers I would be happy, as I may continue with my coach here and do online coaching. Does anyone know anything in this regard?

Thanks

Harlan,

I can understand your frustration with moving and trying to find a new gym. What used to be a retreat is now turning into a struggle!

I wouldn't worry too much about an online presence. These clubs may not really want to invest their efforts into maintaining a website. Instead, they may rely on referrals. I wouldn't be so quick to cast them aside because of that. I think you need to just run a little trial and error. You can also do what you mentioned: online coaching with your previous coach. These gyms near you in Cleveland should have a membership fee for you to work out there. If not, keep on searching.

If you get a chance to go to Columbus, you can look up Mark Cannella. He's been in the game a long time and can surely help you out.

I hope this helps,
Javi

Thanks Javier. I guess I'll have to do some leg work when I move. Not a big deal.
