Default The Evolution of Fitness

I've been meaning to post this for ages but was reminded again by an email I just received. A lot of stuff gets pushed out to us in the UK if you are member of the Register of Exercise Professionals. I mostly feel that the concept of continous professional development is more about making cleverer people rich(er) than making us better professionals. But then I'm a cold hearted cynic.

Anyways, the next big thing....

http://www.vipr-fit.com/

Anyone come across this yet? I think it's a sloshpipe they forgot to put the water in. Not sure why free weights needed to evolve.

The video is all kinds of awesome. And I want to be an International Presenter when I grow up too. With a 4' orange tube made out of foam.

Horrible.

Just horrible! The part where they were "sparring" with those things was almost too much.

Come on, you watched that bit and imagined yourself on a podium in Gladiators. Admit it Allen.

Sadly the people behind this don't have to wit to make a joke like that. This is very, very real.

That will just be on of many "revolutionary" items in the 250+ page catalog from Perform Better as a great "functional training" and "core" product.

I'm opening up a new gym at my house....where people just come in and move furniture around, vacuum and landscape for 30 minutes. Seems pretty functional to me.

This is approaching Shake Weight levels of ridiculousness!
