Wow, I'm seriously under how much I should be taking according to that.

I should be taking 10 caps a day. That's harsh.

Many people are. One reason why people switch to liquid fish oil too.

I've been taking 40 costco caps a day without any sides for a while now.... some people can't take that much, I have no real issues with it at all and it has helped.

according to the calcuator I need to take 46 a day now, that will throw off my buying schedule though

Neat. I'm taking around 4 Tbsp. per day of the Carlson's, the calculator came up with a number close to that.

Doubt I could ever go back to caps.

Caps are a pain in the ass but much cheaper...

I posted up on the Whole9 blog, but I'll put my thoughts here as well. I think that people should shoot for the lower number as the goal, but have a short period where they need to overload. For example, if you're injured or (as the calculator says) obese, start with the high doses for 1-4 weeks and then start cutting back. Your body should start to change and should require less fish oil as long as your diet and activity level are balanced.
