Switching over to the novice weightlifting progression from 70sbig.com/Rip:

Tuesday
Squat

Chin-ups

Thursday
Snatch heavy
Clean and jerk singles across

Friday
Squat
Bench
snatch grip deadlift

6-7-10 training

snatch 8 singles with 30 sec breaks at 135 hit 8/8

c+j work, started at 155 ended up at 175

Snatches felt great, aim was off on a couple but overall the went well. Speed is really picking up. As for the cleans, in an effort last week to catch the bar more in the full clean position, I inadvertantly destroyed my form. I thought my misses out front were caused by a lack of shoulder flexibility since my bench has gone up but it was really just becuase I was murdering the 3rd pull. This will be fixed promptly.

Default switching to wendlers 5-3-1

Maxed out today in the core lifts.

olympic squat 260

bench 230

strict oh press 140

deadlift 315

I tried to stay pretty conservative with the maxes, i had about 5-10 more pounds in me but it wasnt worth chasing those just to start a program.

Olympic lifting will still continue, but im thinking i will do a progression that looks something like this

monday
squat, bench and assistance work

wednesday
olympic lifting and assistance work

friday
deadlift and oh press and assistance work.
