Default Small, private, startup athletic training facility in Chicago looking for members

First post here, but thought some Chicago-based folks might be interested.

A few of have been researching the possibility of starting a small, private, athletic training facility in Chicago and are now ready to move forward.

Our objective is to set up a simple, private training facility for folks following Olympic lifting, Mountain Athlete, Military Athlete, Sealfit, Gym Jones, RKC/Kettlebells, Brassring, Crossfit Football, Crossfit without the koolaid, combatives/MMA, or grip training.

We are looking for a few more individuals - who are self-directed and serious about their training - to join us.

The facility will have at most 15 committed members.

Monthly dues would approximate those of a commercial globo gym located downtown.

The facility will be a simple garage or warehouse type space with few frills but everything you need for hard, uncompromised workouts.

We are currently evaluating a number of locations in the West Loop area and along the North Milwaukee/Elston/Clybourn corridors.

Again, this will be a private facility open to little more than a dozen members. This is the perfect place for athletes who want to do their own thing and crank out max effort workouts without being bothered by classes, large groups, or traditional "health" club restrictions.

This is not a business or money-making endeavor. This is a place for like-minded athletes to come together and train hard.

If this sounds like the kind of place you would like to be a part of, then get in touch with me via pm or at chicagoathletes at gmail dot com.

Thanks,

Marc

Try MN for lameness. There 2-3 crossfit gyms. The rest are LA fitness and Ballys.

St Cloud MN - that is different.

that sounds enticing. i'm trying to figure out how to alter my S&C right now cause i am training at a new BJJ club and right now am training 5 days a week. thus getting out to mentor is only really feasible on the weekends (45 min drive from where i live in little italy, and my club is in beachwood, if you wanna look that up).

there's an MMA club in mentor called griffonrawl that you might want to advertise at. jason dent, who was on TUF and has had some UFC fights, owns that place.

i'm pretty sure you don't focus on a gymnastics, but if for some reason you got a high-bar and a foam pit, i would definately come out there.

That sounds mildly interesting, but I'm happy at my dirt cheap powerlifting gym. I'll see if I know anybody, though, I might know a couple people...
