A parental sense seems to add up.
Thanks, I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music, not everybody gets it. Glad you've enjoyed some of it. What type of stuff have you liked ?

The reggae. I only listen to reggae or dance hall stuff when I am in the islands and forget how much I enjoy it.

I thought you might like the reggae, but I never would've guessed you'd like dancehall, well I be damned!!

Squat 182.5x3
Dead 235x1 ( should've been 3 ) I'd not normally have any issues with moving that load for a triple, but lack of sleep, food and squats before deads has certainly taken a large toll. Grrr!!!

So my last training session was Monday of last week...
Squatted 170k x3x5 but since then I haven't done a thing, training wise.
5 days in Amsterdam on a stag do has been fun, tiring, but a lot of fun.
Looking forward to getting back into the lifts. Will hit 3x5 on the squat, do some presses & run the prowler in the sun.
No BJJ until Weds, but partner has had op on meniscus and will be back in the gym from Next Wednesday meaning I can actually train properly!

That met-con looked like a gasser for sure.

it was a nightmare because of my lack of conditioning. The run turned into a shuffle, but I was pretty stubborn with the bar so finished in reasonable time.

Saturday - BJJ.
Forgot my notebook.
Typical warm-up
From memory we did a little guard retention and bottom escapes ending up inverted (kind of like tornado guard, except without a leg in half guard). Then from the inverted position we worked a few sweeps.
I don't remember much from sparring, but I know that Aaron gave me a tough time. He's just been given a 4th stripe on his white belt and is really starting to flow with his movement. He caught me in an armbar from side, I rolled to escape and he cranked, but I was already out. Just! We got to roll twice, the second time round before we rolled he called me out by shooting me with his fingers from over the mat. His confidence is real high and it's really becoming a pleasure to roll with him.
