Bulk Coconut Milk

Does anyone know a cheap source for coconut milk? I Currently pay $1.70 for a 13.5 ounce can. The packaging of this seems very inefficient, and with more efficient packaging or buying in bulk the pricing should come down significantly. I could not find a less expensive/bulk source however.

That's as good I have seen... I get a case of 12 off amazon occasionally and its $20+...

That's less than I pay.
You can make your own with a food processor. It's just 2 cups shredded coconut to 2.5 cups of water and blend thoroughly.

Sounds like a business opportunity! More efficient, resealable container would save a lot of money, time, and hassle.

Damn, I pay 2.29 a can for a 13.6 oz coconut milk. Thanks for the idea Chris, I think it's time I start making my own.

How is the fridge fresh coconut milk in the unsweetened version? OK to use?
