I have severe problems with people being so glib about injury in the guise of "natural selection". I dislike the idea of the "Darwin Awards". But, seriously, there's something called a "bench press" you can do. Pushups are great, weighted pushups are great, but doing some kind of "max" on it just gets awkward - you will really need a spotter and it will be very awkward if you fail. Much easier to have a spotter on a bench.

People make comments like that until they themselves get hurt. Nothing wakes you up to reality more than a traumatic injury requiring surgery or hospitalization.

I respectfully disagree.

Plenty of people ER'd up from rabdo/tendon rupture/SLAP tear that just come back for more. obviously not all, but plenty.

How could you win an argument against coach?
The irony of it all.

Glassman accusing Siff of spending too much time in the classroom and not enough in the field. I guess that's better than too much time in the pub and not enough time in the gym.

Also, Glassman loves to bicker about spelling and grammar all the time. He still makes pretty dumb grammar mistakes himself.
