Its so funny how he goes on this rant about Twight plagiarizing him, yet he seems to forget he completely plagiarized Supertraining (page 31, 1999)

Not exactly...
"fitness may be defined as the ability to cope with the demands of a specific task efficiently and safely"
Looks like that last part got left out
That's actually pretty surprising that this page of Supertraining hasn't been posted widely before considering how big CF has grown and how much he bashed Supertraining and Siff

I'm glad you posted this because it seems to be the ultimate irony with crossfit claiming to be the world's greatest general physical PREPAREDNESS program. i did crossfit pretty hardcore for more than 2 years. During those 2 years, my level of preparedness (ABILITY TO EXPRESS FITNESS) steadily declined over time to the point where if i wasn't WOD-DING, i had a hard time performing simple daily tasks because i was too sore or too tired or both.
i remember thinking one time after doing something stupid like 30 rounds of 'cindy' that what little i may have gained in 'work capacity' was not worth what I had lost in preparedness. at first this started to affect only level of preparedness right after training, but then it turned into a more chronic condition called ADRENAL FATIGUE SYNDROME. So, the program that aims to improve preparedness in the long run does just the opposite!!

I promise a better, more scientific, clinically relevant nutritional cert, a certification that leaves each attendee more capable to offer prescription and adjust the prescription to maximize results for their clients. It will be taught by professionals and as early on as possible, ANSI accredited. This certification is going to be about you and NOT about us. Thank you.

I guess Glassman doesn't realize that only physicians and registered dieticians can legally prescribe diets.

And props to Twight for putting himself out there. Does any video of Glassman working out even exist? Not sure why not if it is "infinitely scalable" etc.

Glassman has stated why he doesn't workout publicly.
Cooperman asked if I did the WOD every day. I said, “no, I’m usually experimenting on myself and others with protocols that will quickly be abandoned and it would be unethical to spread them to the community at large adding that most of what we monkey with will never make it to wider audience.”
http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/003942.html
So basically, Glassman is like the Atlanta CDC of Crossfit.
He "experiments" on all the super secret exercises that no one's ever thought of before so that everyone else won't have to be infected by the dangerous workouts. If you didn't monkey around with these unique exercises before, people would start getting injuries like rhabdo, SLAP, and Achilles tears. And that would just be unethical.

I have posted something like before.
Aurthor Jones developed the ideal of Metabolic Conditioning. Has he ever been mentioned in the CrossFit Journal?
Also, this:
CFJ, Oct 2002
"Importantly, improvements in endurance, stamina, strength and flexibility come about through training. Training refers to activity that improves performance through measurable organic changes in the body. By contrast improvements in coordination, agility, balance and accuracy come about through practice. Practice refers to activity that improves performance through changes in the nervous system. Power and speed are adaptations of both training and practice."
Wrestling Physical Conditioning Encyclopedia, 1974, John Jesse
"Authorities in the sports medicine, physical education, and physiological worlds are unanimous in their agreement that the three physical qualities of strength, stamina and flexibility are the foundation for the development of a high level of neuromuscular coordination, balance, speed, reaction and movement time, power adn agility, which in turn are the basis for skill learning and successful athletic performance."
I have to believe that Jesse's book is the foundation for the ideal that fitness relates to being balance in the 10 physicals skills. Once again, Jesse wrote that in 1974. It would be nice to see Jim Jesse credited for writing a book 37 years ago that is still very relevant today.
