@nike05 If you love CF, do it. Been there, done it. Sketchy science at best. In our place, the goal is always to improve performance first. Of course we use KB, DB, MB, sleds, vertimax, jammer, oly lifts & variations, & every other tool that will help.
In the last 3 years, dozens of athletes(incl the UFC ltwt Champ!) have left CF & similar facilities & come to us BECAUSE we apply real training science. I’ll say it again:love CrossFit? Do it! Tired of no performance gains? Come see us. Cheers!

@nike05 KEY difference:Oly lifts in our programming aren’t ONLY for the sake of making the workout harder. Scientific rationale for every movement.Every time I talk to a CF’er, trainer or member, they can’t give me a shred of science related to their programming. We use hundreds of tools to get PERFORMANCE results with our athletes & clients.
Your exercise culture should never be based on the Helsinki Syndrome or on the concept that group pain for pain’s sake makes it ok.

@heywood1980 You have no fucking clue how hard this style of traning is fucktard. I dare you to attempt a real crossfit workout and tell me it’s not hard or it sucks because its lame. You are so stupid, i wish you and your kind would fuck off and go back to your pussy gyms where you think you’re working out at.

on MMA, here's an interview with Jonathan Chaimberg back in 2009 when he trained GSP... link (from strengthcoach.com)
Starts halfway in the podcast 28:35
Talks about CrossFit
Explosiveness
Training GSP mixed with sport training
GPP/Strength phases
Sports specific training
Mistakes by strength coaches (mentions CrossFit style & hard circuits, no periodization)
Then Nate Marquardt mentions his wife quits Crossfit http://youtu.be/UjiznSuoCk8 haha

Seriously, look at the way Mounce conducts himself. Completely without any sort of personal integrity.
If he was a criminal, he's be a snitch.
In prison, he'd be a rat and a bitch.
In, perhaps, a previous incarnation of the military, he'd be fragged.

Glassman thought, at one point, that the data he could mine from the WOD comments constituted legit science.
The amount of exaggeration and lying that happens on the WOD comments makes even anecdotal trending a bit shaky.
