I just don't understand people, why would that ever sound like a good idea?

Don't worry, Lisbeth Darsh speaks out as the voice of reason:
Let's take a moment here, okay? Was this baby hurt? No. Would these parents do anything to harm their baby? No.
What do we have here? A photo. Where no one was harmed. Is it funny and cute? Yes. Do you think it's dangerous? You could, and you can get all outraged and post here. (What I've learned from years of experience is that people get outraged about all sorts of things, but they get super-upset about three things in particular: kids, dogs, and food.)
What I would urge you to do is just take a moment and consider your own life: Is it perfect? Have you never done anything a little fun and crazy with your kids? Something that someone else might look over your shoulder and condemn?
If you are perfect, please feel free to comment. And if you're not, then maybe the comments already posted are enough -- and it's time to lay off some great people (and parents) who submitted a funny photo. Thanks.
Yeah, the photo is hilarious. And wow, come to think of it, my life isn't perfect either -- I strap babies to my chest and put up heavy overhead lifts all the time. Actually, I should probably bench press with a baby next time. That would be "funny and cute."
Wondering if she has kids, btw.
