Deodorant or anti-perspirant
My brother swears by some kind of crystal he bought somewhere as a deodorant. He's also fond of Gold Bond powder.

Wait. Memory. Yeah, it affects the memory. Or something like that, I forget.

I use the Thai crystal deodorant. It works. A little spendy at first, but they last forever. It will probably last a good five years.

Kevin, I have the same problem. I can get away with the hippie deodorants (Aubrey's, Nature's Gate, Avallon, Desert Essence, etc.) in the winter but not in the crazy desert summer after my bike ride to work.
There is a deodorant from Israel called Lavlin that I've heard good things about, but other people tell me it irritates their skin and is messy. I've also heard Weleda works well. Try 'em and let us know!!

From what remember (translation: I might be wrong), aluminum exposure from your armpits is relatively insignificant compared to other routes such as your guts.
Regardless, I'm a deodorant man myself.. don't like the super-dry-pits that come with the anti-perspirants. If I get too stinky during the summers, I take a scientists-shower, which involves some wet wipes (disposed of in biohazard container) and a touch up with the deodorant.
