Yeah, upon reading your response and my response, but sober, I realized I omitted that little piece of info.

The good thing about 5/3/1, which I can't really stand for myself, is that you can choose whether you want to go for the AMRAP or stop at the prescribed reps. If you have some tough classes or are getting a little beat up towards the 1s week, you can AREG it and just hit the base reps.

You might stay a little fresher switching it along the lines of Wendler's powerlifting schedule, basically making it 3/5/1, and only hit the 5s, not maxing your reps. I really don't know though. Just food for thought.
I appreciate all your input. I am gunna go forward as it is for a couple of cycles, and see where it gets me.

Right on. I made my post last night after watching the fights, going out, and in general having a crappy, but sober time. Checking in on a forum an realizing you're doing so on a Saturday night is a good way to piss yourself (ie, myself) off even worse.

thought I may have set off an internet flame war. Glad you didn't take my post negatively, even though I think it had an unintentionally negative tone.

go forward, readjust as needed, and keep us updated.
