13 cases of Rhabdo
13 University of Iowa football players were hospitalized after 'grueling' conditioning workouts. There's an investigation still going on but...I have a slight idea as to the style of workout they were doing. I'll keep updating as this plays out.

5 of them are out of the hospital, which is good news. But some of the comments on that article I posted are awesome too.

There is a bit more detail about their workout in this article - which discusses a similar rhabdomyolisis problem in SC in 2007:

I saw a couple of articles that said they were doing 100 squats with 240 LB's and then running. Peter's article said they were then pulling a sled. I think I would have skipped the Rhabdo and just died to make it easier.

Nothing that new to report, other than the fact that the university investigation will wrap up in 90 days. Which means this will all be blown over and no one will really care any more.
Oh and according to this report http://steroidreport.com/2011/01/30/...eyes-football/ High School recruits are attracted to the University of Iowa because of this workout regimen. I like it.
