One thing about hank...We've been sending him the PM since the first issue and the bastard has never commented one way or another on it.

I bet if you wrote him a letter and put a video about it up he would respond.

And as long as we're praising Rollins, here's a link for anyone who discovered the internet recently, like today (as everyone else has already read it.) I keep it posted next to my desk in my classroom.

I now love Henry Rollins. I'm thinking about picking up one of his books. Any suggestions?
I would give all that I have to see someone land a solid punch on Coulter's face. It could be televised. I wouldn't even care if she got all the money. One hard shot. Can we start a grassroots effort to make that happen?? Please?

My former boss was a huge Rollins fan back in the days. During one particular show he saw at some sweltering little dive club (think high school wrestling room), Hank went so far as to drink a copious amount of sweat from a shoe -- either his own or one thrown on stage.
Here's his account:
And as for Henry, it was probably 1983 or 1984, though I'm not sure, and it was either Fort Lauderdale or Miami, though I also am not 100% sure, though it's more likely the former given what I remember about the general pattern of my adolescent adventures. The sneaker juice that he drank was mostly his own, I believe, though he may have added to it by wringing out a few extra socks thrown on stage. Following the gulping, however, Henry was bombarded with the audience's sweaty garments and undergarments, some female. He definitely picked these up and used them as towels. And from the mosh pit, I can not be sure that he did not also wring these out into his mouth.
I forgot to ask what prompted Mr. Rollins to do this.

Hank's the consummate showman.
Little known fact, or not:
Hank has made several forays into Afghanistan and Iraq to entertain and speak with the troops stationed there. From what I understand, he gets a warm/enthusiastic reception every time despite his vocal anti-war stance. This comes from the respect he has for the soldiers and the fact that he directs his anger at the powers who have put these soldiers in harm's way.
