If anyone reads up on letsrun.com, this is a brilliant collection of posts by Hadd. Simple explanation in ex physiology and actual metabolic conditioning in relation to performance, fitness/performance testing, how to adjust a program for an athlete.

great suff, I came across of this PDF few months ago...it's a must read for every beginner in endurance sports
