Greg or anyone-
I have recently started performing the ankle stretch where you place your toe up on a wall with your heel down and bring the hips forward. I do this straight leg and bent leg. Everything works fine on the left side. On the right, however, when I try to bend my knee, my right hip moves laterally (unless I take great pains to stop it), and I get a sharp pain across the top/lateral part of my foot/ankle. It feels like it is just below the "ball" on the lateral side of the ankle. It feels like an impingement pain. I have no prior injuries to the ankle. This has been driving me crazy as it limits my right side dorsiflexion and can cause pain in deep squats. Any experience with this?
