Glad you're getting it back. The Run sounded fun. Too bad Laney go held up by her old man.

Ha! All I can say is at least I ran and I didn't end up feeling like I did when I ran with Jr last year. Little buggar is fast...

I also want to point out as a proud father that I really screwed up Jr's run time. He ran a 25:29 for the 5K.

So there was a guy there taking pictures at the race and they sent us the link. I can't link directly to pictures and they were $30 a piece to download them. I am ordering some pictures for the kids but wow pricey.

Anyway here is Jr at the beginning of the race. He took off like a rocket just like last year. Not bad form on the running there young man.

Lane and I were way over to the right at the beginning.

Jr finishing.

Lane and I finishing.

Hello my name is Derek and I have a problem... I have been eating paleo to try and get over my bronchitis and unfortunately have lost 10 lb's! No wonder I have been feeling weaker on all my lifts.

BJJ Fundamentals: Headlock defense, standing guard pass sweep counter, half guard pass to mount, keylock

BJJ Advanced: High Crotch Single, Grip Break Elbow Drive High Crotch Single, from there I have no idea what we did as it is a blur. Grappled 3 rounds and finished with Fabio who absolutely completely and totally murdered me tonight. I had no speed and no explosive strength tonight. Never got winded just when needed there was no turbo boost.

I feel like I am almost completely better and I am going to open my diet up and put back on the weight. I am going to try and sneak over tomorrow and train as well so I will see how I feel.

A 10lb drop in weight is certainly ging to affect your lifts. Did the paleo diet help to clear the bronchitis?

I have allergies and when I eat non paleo I have more sinus congestion. So wanting to get rid of all the crap I was fighting I decided to go paleo. I believe that helped a lot. I also did some IF just because I wasn't as hungry and I figured it couldn't hurt.

I got on the scale this morning and I was at 196.5 LB's, 57.4% water and 12.7% BF. The water was lower as I am usually around 60% so I might be slightly dehydrated from last night.

Probably a lot of water weight. I'd guess you'll be back up over 200 lbs in a week or so.

I liked the write up on your race by the way.

D W/U
Dog Walk
Foam Roll

BS 45 X 5,5,5, 95, 135, 165 X 5, 185 X 15
Press 45 X 10, 5, 65 X 5, 95 X 10 X 3

V-Up Med Ball throws 6 LB'er 15 each hand X 2
20 Lb Med Ball Rotational Pass X 30

BB Curl 45 LB N, W, R X 12 each

Dissapointed in myself for not getting to 20 on the squats. I thought I had it but my back caught on fire and I just couldn't get tight on the last couple of reps. Planning on hitting competition class at noon and getting in at least 30 chinups GTG style.

When you get a chance check out that MWOD video where he talks about overextension and running...maybe 2-3 weeks ago now? He was at the CF Endurace guys house and the end featured a lacrosse ball/sawzall torture device.

I'm curious if you feel any difference when trying out what he says in regard to running. I noticed a difference but I may just be crazy. The other day I did a 1.1 miles at a 7:12 pace and didn't even notice it. When lately I've been running at a 8:00 pace prior to trying out the keeping rib cage down while running thing.

Yeah that was really interesting. How are you doing with holding the rib cage down on your overhead pressing? That is a struggle for me.
