Nope.

The only meet I've been to in Texas was the Liberty Open up in Wichita Falls.

Are you guys having another meet any time soon?

train at the y. it's great, squat rack is always free and they have free coffee. Also train at seattle athletic club. they have lots of room and the heavy bag is always free, squat rack is usually free and they have spanky new rowers.

Just been down for my first workout at the local rowing club.

This is one of those diamond in the rough type finds. 5 minute walk from my new apartment and basically no one uses it except the rowers in the afternoon. For $300 for 15 months we can use the club anytime we want as long as we don't drop anything heavy at dinner time as the gym is directly under a very expensive restaraunt.

the rowing club has got

8 model Ds
1 of those dyno things from C2 that no one uses
5 olympic bars
2 pairs of 15kg Uesaka bumpers
3 pairs of assorted other rubber rimmed bumpers (like old style yorks from the 60's)
rubber floor
boxing area
bench presses
very narrow power rack
assorted dumbells and medicine balls
plenty of floor space

The coaches there will even let me bring in my own bumpers and stuff

John,

I am going to be in Queens from 18-23 April visiting in-laws. I already emailed the club and Leonard Bacino said to come by on a Monday or Wednesday. Thursday would work better, but he said that day is basically for team members. So hopefully my flight from Arizona won't wear me out too much when i show up on the 18th.

Ah, thanks John.

Huh, you'd think Lenny could at least change the 'Last updated on' date to show he's making some effort to keep things current

Dave
Looking forward to your visit.
Too bad you couldn't be there the prior weekend as there's a meet there on the 14th!
