For my snatches, I'm able to get my knees out, but for cleans and deadlfit, can't get them out that much because legs get in the way. Should I have a narrower stance or wilder grip?
Knees out effectively makes the legs shorter and allows an upright posture while easing the difficulty of navigating the bar past the knees. The wide grip in th snatch means more bend in the knee in the starting position; the narrower grip in the clean means less bend and therefore the knees are already less in the way. In the clean, just spread the knees as much as interference with your arms allows and that will be plenty.
