Default 100Kg Snatch FAIL - Why?

Ex-crossfitter here having snatch issues. Maybe its muscle memory of doing hundreds of snatch reps incorrectly. Maybe someone could lend their lifting knowledge and help me out with a diagnosis and cure for this lift.

Harlan,

I think you rushed getting into your second pull. You could benefit from sweeping the bar back a little more to avoid that hop forward. It's a timing issue. Segment pulls (1", above knee, and at the hips before you go vertical for your second pull) might help you with correcting your muscle memory. Break it down again. You're more than strong enough, so I don't agree with that comment of the weight being too heavy; you simply need to correct your technique. Therefore, use the segment pulls or go off blocks to help you understand what you should feel and when you should feel it by breaking down the portions of the lifts.

Thank you Sir,

Unfortunately they dont have blocks on base here where I am posted, back home at the gym they do. Greg said I was coming onto my toes too early, so I will try to focus on keeping pressure in the heels and do some segment stuff from the hang like you reccomend

Try keeping the feet in contact w the floor a bit longer - that is, apply pressure against the ground a bit longer in the pull and lift the feet to move under a split second later.

Greg, tried exactly that, heels in contact a bit longer, and the bar went up much easier and the receiving position felt perfect. Will post vid if that tip gets me back to 100kg. Cant thank you enough.
