East Coast Events in 2013

Does anyone know of any weightlifting (sanctioned or not) in the 2nd half of 2013? I live in NC and am looking to compete in my first weightlifting event after I get home from Afghanistan in June.

I know about the USAW site but I was hoping to get a longer forecast than April.

Theres the Frederick Open in Ft. Detrick, MD which is usually in August and hosted by Central MD Gold. East Coast Gold holds a meet every October in Moorestown, NJ. There are a few in Northern VA but I am not sure on the dates.

We typically run one in the fall in Richmond, VA.

Hey, Joe. Where in NC are you? I'm planning to sit down with Pete Haas in Winston in the next week or so and try to get something planned soon. I'm in Asheville. Even if we don't do a sanctioned one at my place (the way our 8'x8' platforms are situated makes it really hard to fit a 12'x12' platform for a sanctioned meet), we will definitely have several unsanctioned gym meets in the time frame you are looking at.
