Default Slow Mo C&J critique

This was my second rep at 90% during my session today. The first was considerably better and I do wish I had it on video, however I thought this would be a good one to throw on here.

I've changed my start considerably and am getting very comfortable with this new way of doing it, though I think I still need to tweak it a bit.

I had very little sleep most of this week and was extremely tired in addition to having worn down my upper body a lot in recent sessions.

Definitely caught the clean a little weird (knees came way forward of the toes) and for the Jerk I did not push myself under the bar completely so there is a small press out (this did not happen on the first rep, I probably should have rested a little longer). Looking at my power position I do think I get on the toes a little earlier than I should instead of using my hips with my weight in my heels more. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated

Just a couple of things:

1. Open up a little more on the clean. I don't think you're forward onto the toes too soon but it looks like you cut off the extension a little too quickly.

2. Your back leg on the jerk is too straight. Remember to keep the back knee soft to allow yourself to absorb the weight with the hips straight down.

Other than that it looks good.

1) as in a little more patience on the pull before I go under?

2) yea still a bad habit. would jerk presses be a good drill to start implementing?

1) Yea, just push through the ground a little longer to open up the body more.

2) Yes, Jerk Push Presses would be good to help with this positioning.

clean looks relatively ok (still not a fan of dynamic start).

re jerk, keep looking straight ahead and tuck your chin in rather than looking up and throwing your head forward; the latter is probably the root cause of you travelling forward/tipping in the dip and subsequently kicking away with your back leg. keep your chest up and weight back in your heels when dipping.
