The most important thing about any beginner lifter is making sure they are hitting the correct positions. As in, they need to teach the body how to move correctly ("muscle memory").
Should they be doing those exact exercises? I'm not against that. The only requirement I would have for you is that for DLs, do a Snatch/Clean DL. Not a Sumo DL or any other kind of traditional DL as seen in the sport of Powerlifting.
