Suede Werksan Do-Wins and Glenn Pendlay

I have to give props to Glenn Pendlay. I recently tried to order the leather DoWins from his Wichita Falls Weightlifting Store only to receive an email from him later that they were out of stock. I tried to cancel the original credit card order via email. I called Glenn today (he's in Texas and I'm in Virginia), missed him, and he called me back twice. He apologized for not responding sooner because of his schedule and volume of emails. Then, he offered to send me the suede blue Do-Wins ($110) for the same price as the leather ($85) since he is getting some new models in stock. (I caught him at the right time.)

I think he runs this business out of his home and I certainly appreciate how friendly, humble, and helpful he was. If you are looking to but some good WL shoes at a good price from a reputable salesman, I encourage anyone to call Glenn or try the website: http://store.wfwclub.com/.

I ordered some of the cool blue and white straps the Chinese lifters use from Glenn a few months ago and I love them. Just about everyone in my weightlifting club really likes them, too. I recently ordered the Pendlay Men's weightlifting bar and am really looking forward to lifting with it.

I'd get some shoes from him, but my Adidas IronWorks II are doing the job pretty well and I'll probably get another couple of years out of them.

BTW, if anyone hasn't read "Practical Programming," by Rip and Kilgore and Pendlay you should pick it up. Glenn makes what I feel are some of the best contributions to the book in the beginner, intermediate and advanced sections.

I ordered mine from B-S Weightlifting in Kansas three weeks ago. Not only did they take two weeks to ship (they supposedly shipped a week ago), I still haven't even received my tracking number, let alone the shoes. They are shipping from a warehouse in Texas. I was supposed to get my tracking number last Wednesday...

I want my shoes!!!

I take that all back... I guess B-S is a distributor and it ships through Glenn... It took a week for B-S to get the order to Pendlay, and then the shoes got stuck in customs for a week, and supposedly they shipped yesterday or something... I'm still a bit frustrated that it's been three weeks and I still don't have these !@#$ shoes, but can't blame it on B-S.

i purchased a pair of Suede Do-wins through Glenn.

Actually, i originally ordered the normal leather ones, but Glenn called me one day and told me that they were out of stock. so, he simply upgraded my order to the suede ones, but charged me the price of the leather ones.

they're my first pair of lifting shoes... they look really snazzy, and squatting in them is a whole new world.

I have been tracking mine through UPS and they should be here today!! Only 26 days after I placed my order!
