Someone should send Ross the link to those CF folks who have the whole site dedicated to DIY equipment...

That website definitely went into my bookmarks...

Thanks Mike...

Frank,
I'd be glad to work out a deal with you for my Ab Pavelizer 2, used maybe 10 times...

If you are really interested in Janda situps, I will tell you that "active" resistance against your calves is much more effective than the stationary, "passive" resistance you get from the DIY version you're looking at (or the original Ab Pavelizer).

Why am I willing to part with mine? Because I see no need to "super-isolate" my rectus abdominus, when I don't use that approach with any other muscle in my body...

I pursued one of those links and got here.

http://www.mcmaster.com/

ordered a set (2) of heavy duty bands for 20 bucks.

1.5" wide by 3/32" thick. We'll see how they pan out.

I have a bunch of differnt bands from them. I use the ones you purchased for band sprints. I have yet to break them. Low cost, highly effective.
