Hi i'm new to this website and i'm just a little confused about the sets and reps to the lifts, like why sometimes it says to only do 1 set?

It is 80% for 2 sets of 1 rep, followed by 85% for 3 sets of 1 rep. If there is a weight prescription the notation will be weight x reps x sets. The About the Program link at the right under Training Menu should cover most of your questions. I hope this helps!
